
With over 25 years of experience in technology and business, Jim Klosterman, Strategic Sales Advisor at Main Street Technical Services, brings a unique blend of technical knowledge, sales expertise, and a deep commitment to customer success.
His journey started in the late ‘90s, building computers and providing IT support in the healthcare industry. Over the years, he expanded his skills into Microsoft technologies, infrastructure, networking, and security before eventually co-founding Fretboard Brewing, where he gained firsthand experience in business operations and marketing.

Jim joined Main Street Technical Services in 2024 to bridge the gap between clients and technical solutions. His role as Strategic Sales Advisor is focused on supporting customers, improving communication, and ensuring businesses fully leverage Main Street’s wide range of data services.
Jim Klosterman: Passion for Problem-Solving & Customer Success
Jim’s approach centers on building strong relationships, understanding each client’s unique challenges, and ensuring they have the right support for long-term success.
One of Jim’s biggest successes has been expanding service offerings for a software company initially using Main Street only for SQL Server support. By listening to the client’s needs and introducing PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and MySQL services, Main Street became a one-stop shop for their database management—saving them time and money.
Similarly, Jim played a key role in helping an insurance client streamline their data management. The client had been manually inputting data from spreadsheets, making reporting difficult and inefficient. Jim worked alongside Main Street’s data architects to scope a project that transitioned the company to SQL Server, automated ETL processes, and built a data warehouse—ultimately providing faster, more accurate insights.
Driving Client Success at Main Street
Jim stays ahead of industry trends by learning from colleagues, researching new technologies, and constantly engaging with customers. He is currently pursuing sales certifications for potential new software partnerships and expanding his knowledge of AWS cloud services.
Looking ahead, his goal is to continue deepening his expertise in enterprise data and analytics while strengthening customer relationships.

Outside of work, Jim is passionate about music and performs as a guitarist and vocalist in both acoustic and full-band settings. He also prioritizes health and fitness, recently losing 35 lbs and training for his second triathlon.
