Before finding her path in IT, Virginia Girard worked as an X-ray technician in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Her interest in tech led her to pursue a career in project management at a web development firm, her first step into the world of enterprise systems.

Eventually, she was offered the opportunity to become a junior CNC, where she began learning JD Edwards (JDE). That leap launched her into a role she now thrives in - constantly learning, troubleshooting, and helping clients optimize their systems.
Since joining Main Street as a CNC in December 2021, Virginia has been an essential member of the Managed Services team. She supports clients in security, performance tuning, system installations, patching, and CNC foundation work. Virginia’s day-to-day includes:
Change and package management
Security and SOD mitigation
System monitoring
Web client management
Applying patches and bug fixes
Managing third-party integrations
She’s particularly proud of her work with a long-standing client in Oshkosh, where her team has consistently received high marks for satisfaction.
Virginia Girard’s Broad Technical Expertise
Virginia’s technical skills span Java, Visual Basic, C++, PERL, HTML, Oracle DB, SQL Server, IBM iSeries, WebSphere, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and World. This deep toolkit allows her to support clients in various environments and with various challenges.
When asked about her proudest achievement at Main Street, Virginia answered: “Being part of the best Managed Services team I’ve ever worked on, bar none!”
Lifelong Passion for Learning and Building Client Trust
Virginia is constantly learning through blogs, YouTube tutorials, or sharing ideas with colleagues. She plans to pursue additional AI and ERP-related training soon.
“I’ve always loved working with people and creating strong connections,” she says. “Nothing makes me happier than when a client knows they can count on me and that I have their back.”
Beyond the Keyboard
Outside of work, Virginia enjoys traveling with her husband, gardening, and spending time outdoors. She’s a passionate angler—fly fishing, deep-sea fishing, and everything in between—and dabbles in golf when she can.
Looking Ahead
Looking ahead, Virginia hopes to grow within Main Street by expanding her technical knowledge and continuing to support clients with care and confidence. “Continued technical education will help me grow and become an even better guide to our clients and team.”
